What Is Overdraft Privilege?
A service that may honor transactions even when your account balance isn't sufficient — helping you avoid returned payments and merchant fees.
With Overdraft Privilege, we may honor your checks, ACH items, ATM withdrawals, and everyday debit card purchases — even if they exceed your available balance — up to your approved overdraft limit. A fee applies for each overdraft item, but this service can help you avoid the inconvenience, embarrassment, and potential fees from merchants that can occur when payments are returned unpaid.
It's one more way Peoples Bank works to keep your finances running smoothly, even when life throws you a curveball.
Coverage Options & Fees
Two service levels to fit your needs.

Dynamic Transfer automatically moves funds to your checking account from another Peoples Bank account to help prevent overdrafts. Savings accounts will not be used to authorize debit card transactions.
